GABA Receptors

Finished_240206_GABA-receptors.svg

GABAA and GABAB receptors are two molecularly distinct receptors that bind the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma -aminobutyric acid, generally leading to hyperpolarization of the postsynaptic neuron. GABAA are ligand-gated chloride ion channels, whereas GABAB receptors are G protein coupled receptors.
